Faces of Exit270 Part19

I enjoy what is called “street photography”, which I think of as street portraits.  It is sort of a form of people voyeurism.

Generally I try to photograph my subjects candidly (without permission) –however, in some cases I do ask permission especially when I am up close and “in your face.”

I like to look for a decisive moment or a graphical visual element that draws you to the subject.  You are photographing the place (street) through the faces of the people that occupy this place.

Abandoned

All the images here were shot at one antique store that contained one room filled with dolls. There is something sad about dolls that have been abandoned by their childhood friends only to find themselves gathering dust along with other abandoned dolls on some lonely antique store shelf.

You have an eerie feeling that each doll was staring at you...with the question, why did you leave me here?  Each doll seemed to be waiting for its playmate - the playmate that of course would never come back to rescue it from this room of abandonment.
