Abstract Glue

The collage from the French "to glue" is the technique where artwork or a photograph is created from the assemblage of various images combined to make a new image.

Using Photoshop, I have taken some of my images from files and experimented with combining them using Layers to created a new abstract image.  I cannot give you a reason why I have chosen one group of images over another -except that at the time they seem to work together at telling some undefined story.  The images were created over a period of years at different times.  Maybe it is a peek into the bright and dark recesses of what resides within me?

More Faces of Exit270-part 11

Street photography is sort of photographic voyeurism  -observing the people that inhabit the location you find yourself in.  I am not so interested in the location, but more on who is in it –what are they doing, contrasting images between location and individual.  This kind of “street portraiture” requires patience and the ability to frame and capture your subject quickly.  I presently use a Sony Nex-7 for this purpose.  I usually set my camera at Aperture Priority -taking a light reading with the camera to set my ISO to accommodate an F-stop of 8 or 11 before shooting, and then proceed on the adventure.
