This post is a photographic
experiment in shapes and light using a martini glass. I find a challenge in taking one object and
seeing how many ways it can be photographed using light to define the object. Some of the images have an abstract quality
about them – and based on that I went a step further on my other site http://270graphics.blogspot.com to illustrate a few of the images in graphical
design.

Impressions of Portland Maine
On
September 20th I packed a knapsack with some clothes, my Sony Nex7 and a couple
of lenses and headed for Maine for a small family reunion. Therefore,
this post will be a deviation from the usual images shot in and around my exit
270 - this post is my five day visual impression of a place called Portland,
Maine.

FOUR
Every photograph has four
parts to it –the subject, lighting, composition and technique and thus, the
subject of this post is “FOUR” – similar subjects containing these elements within
four frames. What interests me about
this framing is that it explores one subject through four different
windows. Many of the four-framed images
are subjects pulled from projects that I have worked on and filed away.
