Follow The Arrow

This is the first post of 2019, and I thought I would dedicate it to directions.  We all look for directions in making decisions and with the New Year we are definitely in need of some direction.  Should I do this or do that?  Am I moving in the right direction with my life choices?

We all accept that an arrow is a sign pointing to direction we should take.  But sometimes the arrows we come upon can be misleading.  Do I go to the right or left; maybe neither is the correct direction.  So here photographically is my collection of arrows that fascinated me wherever I found them.  They neither solve the question, “is this the right direction I am moving in?”...Or maybe they are telling us something else.   However, they may be simply painted arrows of no significance.

This post is an example of a challenge of finding a subject and photographing it in as many situations as you come across.  These images of arrows were made over a period of two years.  Each time I came across an arrow I recorded it with the intent to use the image in some creation at a later date.
