Head Shop

Photography is not all about skill level - but about seeing, observation and ideas.  These are parts of the process we call creativity.  It is a process of abstracting and selecting.

A simple example of this process is when visiting a place - is there something that seems to stand out above all else that you are looking at in this location.  For example, recently I visited an antique store and the first thing that I became aware of was the number of different dolls scattered throughout the store.

This observation lead me to continue searching and photographing as many doll or sculptured heads that I could find with the idea of presenting them in this blog as a theme called "Head Shop."  I had already decided on this project the minute I saw the first doll head.  This is what I mean about the creative process -your observations become an idea abstracted into a photographic theme.
