As a
photographer I am always aware of everything around me -it is usually the simplest items that draw
my attention. It is first the shape with
the light defining the subject and how both interact with each other. This is
basically how I see and feel about objects around me.
Everyday
objects that I find within my immediate surroundings are the subjects of this
post. Using window light and some
compositional design, I have
attempted to record these objects that are basically invisible, because they are
simply commonplace objects that we see every day and take little notice of. Such items as forks lying on the counter, a
bowl with spoon, coat hangers, teapot – all of these offer an opportunity to
view them differently-look at them from a new view and apply different
compositional ideas to these subjects.
