I enjoy what is called “street photography”, which
I think of as street portraits. It is
sort of a form of people voyeurism.
Generally I try to photograph my subjects candidly
(without permission) –however, in some cases I do ask permission especially when
I am up close and “in your face.”
I like to look for a decisive moment or a graphical
visual element that draws you to the subject.
You are photographing the place (street) through the faces of the people
that occupy this place.
