Every photograph has four
parts to it –the subject, lighting, composition and technique and thus, the
subject of this post is “FOUR” – similar subjects containing these elements within
four frames. What interests me about
this framing is that it explores one subject through four different
windows. Many of the four-framed images
are subjects pulled from projects that I have worked on and filed away.

The Circle
The circle–my
experiment in using the compositional circle to create a graphical theme using
some everyday items I come into contact within my kitchen. Edward Weston once said, “anything that excites me for any reason, I will
photograph; not searching for unusual subject matter, but making the
commonplace unusual”, and this is how I look and photograph things around me.

Morning Shapes
Upon awaking in the morning one of the first
things that greets us is the morning light and the way it defines some of the
objects around us in these early hours. This post is a collection of images I
shot one morning just observing the shapes of items that I awake to every
morning. Yes, I am guilty of a little
staging – but only to help illustrate and design what I saw during that morning
light. Your comments are welcome and
what do you see in those early morning hours?
